Alexandra Berceanu
Alexandra Berceanu holds a BA Honours in Architectural Design and International Relations from the University of Toronto and an MA in Communication & Culture from the Yeates School of Graduate Studies, Ryerson University. She was awarded the Social Sciences and Humanities Research Council (SSHRC) Joseph Armand Bombardier Canada Graduate Scholarship in 2015. She has published essays on the aesthetics of commemorative war monuments as well as on art and responsibility to the Other. Her graduate thesis explored Hal Foster’s notion of “artist-as-archivist” through the lens of an artist-run collective in Kingston, Ontario. She currently works in exhibition design and graphic design.
