Alexandra Lasczik is associate professor of Arts and education at Southern Cross University, Australia. She was a Visual Arts head teacher in secondary schools for 25 years before becoming an academic in 2011. Alexandra has been nationally recognized for her work in Visual Arts teacher education with an Office for Learning and Teaching (OLT) Citation for Outstanding Contribution to Student Learning (Australian Government National Award). She is also a past World Councillor for InSEA, past Program Chair for the American Educational Research Association (AERA) Arts-Based Educational Research Special Interest Group (ABERSIG), and current Chair of the AERA ABER SIG. Alexandra is passionate in her advocacy for Visual Arts education.
