Alexis Penney is an American artist, writer, teacher, spirit worker, sometime post-drag priestess and documentarian, based in Kansas City. Their debut novel and album, Window (Peradam Press; Ecstasy Records), was released in 2013. Their second album, Sapphire, was self-released in 2016. Alexis was a founder, performer and co-curator of San Francisco drag institution High Fantasy and Brooklyn ritual drag collective Chez Deep and alternative performance space Casa Diva.
