Ali Sayed Mohamed
Ali Sayed Mohamed (Ph. D., McGill University) is an assistant professor in the Department of Communications, Faculty of Arts at Assiut University. His research focuses on the study of communication, media and democracy; emerging media studies; critical theories of the public sphere; studies of jour¬nalism and news; studies of media and social movements; and, most notably, area media studies focusing on the Middle East and Egypt.
