Alison Phinney

Alison Phinney, Ph.D., RN, is a full professor in the School of Nursing and co-director of the Centre for Research on Personhood in Dementia at the University of British Columbia. She is known internationally for her research on dementia, meaningful activity and ageing. As a community-engaged researcher, she studies how to support personhood and social citizenship through improved practices in the healthcare system and the community at large.
