Alison Wilde

Alison Wilde is a senior lecturer at Leeds Beckett University. She has published research in Critical Studies in Television, Celebrity Studies, Disability and Society and Health and Social Care in the Community, and other journals and books. Research includes work on educational inclusion, gender, parenting/families but the majority of her research has been on disability and media. She is currently completing a book entitled Film, Comedy and Disability for Ashgate, and working on a project investigating young people’s interactions with ‘disability films’. She also writes a blog on film and television for DisabilityArtsOnline.
