Alison Wood

Alison Wood is a research assistant at the USC Brain and Creativity Institute. She is part of a longitudinal study investigating the cognitive, socio-emotional and neural effects of music on child development. She graduated from Beloit College in 2016 with a Psychology major and Music minor. Before coming to the Brain and Creativity Institute, she assisted with research on perspective taking in 2 to 5 year olds at the USC Minds and Development Lab. Her background in music and child development research lead to her interest in arts interventions with children. She is particularly interested in how these interventions can help children from underserved communities.
