Alvaro M. Jordan
Alvaro M. Jordan is a Ph.D. candidate in art education at The Pennsylvania State University. Originally a film and TV editor in Chile, he got his MFA in visual arts at Penn State, focusing his new media art practices on the intersections between art, video and computer-driven technology. His research as an art educator often emphasizes the pedagogical potential of such intersections to connect different disciplines within formal learning environments, and to engage learners in meaningful reflections about social justice.
