Amalia Giannoutsou

Amalia Giannoutsou is an intercultural educator and social researcher. She holds an MA is art-based research and a Ph.D. in education from the Autonomous University of Barcelona (UAB). Her dissertation, narrated within the space of a community-theatre project, explores the entanglements between body-space-identity and art-research-education. Her current work focuses on the intersections between art and education, particularly the ways movement, memory and imagination shape a landscape for critical education. Meanwhile she continues working as an educator in experimental schools, as well as a researcher in emergency contexts and multicultural settings.
