Amalie Elfallah

Amalie Elfallah is an independent scholar and an architectural and urban designer based in Maryland–Washington, DC. Her research examines socio-spatial constructions, imaginations, and actualities of Italian colonial Libya. Her ongoing research traces how the past is concealed/embodied, forgotten/remembered, and erased/concretized in contemporary Italy and Libya. She was recently a Fulbright grantee to Politecnico di Milano (2022) to complete her Master of Architecture and Urban Design degree following her architectural education at the University of Maryland (2018) and Montgomery College (2016).
