Amanda Herring

Amanda Herring is Assistant Professor in the Department of Art and Art History at Loyola Marymount University. She received her BA from Dartmouth College and her MA and Ph.D. from UCLA. Her research examines sculpture and architecture in the Hellenistic period as well the history of archaeology in the nineteenth-century Ottoman Empire and the reception of the classical past in the modern world. Her work has been published by the Journal of the History of Sexuality, the History of Photography, and the Cotsen Institute of Archaeology Press.
