Amanda Weidman
Amanda Weidman is a professor of anthropology at Bryn Mawr College. Her most recent book, Brought to Life by the Voice (University of California Press, 2021), examines playback singing in the cultural and sociopolitical context of Tamil South India from the post-Independence period to the post-liberalization present.
