Ana Cristina Suzina

Dr Ana Cristina Suzina is currently a lecturer in the Institute for Media and Creative Industries at Loughborough University London, after developing research for three years as a Leverhulme early career fellow. Her current research deals with media initiatives in Indigenous communities in Brazil and Ecuador, analysing political imagination and political voice. Her research interests include social change, all forms of inequality, media appropriation, participation in democracy, civil society development, grassroots communication and decolonizing internet. Dr Suzina is the editor of the books Freire and the Perseverance of Hope (Institute of Network Cultures, 2022), The Evolution of Popular Communication in Latin America (Palgrave, 2021).
