Anaïs Duong-Pedica
Anaïs Duong-Pedica is a Ph.D. candidate in gender studies and the minority research profile at Åbo Akademi University in Finland. Her Ph.D. project explores the discourse around multiraciality in contemporary Kanaky/New Caledonia. The first article of this research project ‘Mixed-race Kanak in “a world cut in two”: Contemporary experiences in Kanaky/New Caledonia’ is published in the Journal of Critical Mixed Race Studies in the Special Issue on ‘Mixedness and Indigeneity in the Pacific’. This article received the Paul Spickard graduate paper award at the 2022 Critical Mixed Race Studies conference.
