Anastasia Philimonos
Anastasia Philimonos is a curator of contemporary art and doctoral researcher in contemporary art history and theory at the University of Edinburgh. Her thesis examines the impact of technological acceleration on the concept and reality of the border and associated political agency in the context of techno-capitalist globalization. She has curated research-driven shows for Collective Art Centre and Rhubaba Gallery and Studios, exploring environmental injustice, gendered and racialized labour relations in the art world, and the digital mediation of social praxis. She teaches modern and contemporary art history and visual culture at the University of Edinburgh.
