Anders Rønningen
Anders Rønningen is associate professor in music pedagogy at The University College of Southeast Norway. He holds a Ph.D. in music education from The Norwegian Academy of Music, where he wrote his theses about multicultural perspectives on text books on music for comprehensive school. With academic background from ethnomusicology, and through his living and working eight years in a foreign culture (Madagascar), his main research interests has been about cultural diversity in music and social perspectives on music teaching and learning. Rønningen is also a performing musician and composer. From 2015 he has been advisor for The Norwegian Council for Schools of Music and Performing Arts with special responsibility for research and development.
