Andreea R. Torre
Andreea R. Torre is currently research fellow in the gender, environment and development cluster at the Stockholm Environment Institute (SEI) – Asia Centre, Bangkok (Thailand). She holds a Ph.D. in sociology from the London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE), and a M.Sc. in social anthropology from University College London (UCL). Before joining SEI, she was a lecturer in development studies at the School of Government, Development and International Affairs (SGDIA), The University of the South Pacific (USP), Suva, Fiji where she conducted research on intra-regional mobilities. Andreea’s research interests revolve around the socio-economic, political and environmental dimensions of migrant-lives and the micro-politics of gender relations.
