Andrew Gordon

Andrew Gordon taught at University of Florida from 1975-2010, specializing in contemporary American Fiction, Jewish-American Fiction, and Science Fiction Literature and Film. He is now Professor Emeritus of English. He organizes the annual International Conference on Psychology and the Arts, co-edits Studies in American Jewish Literature, and is on the Editorial Board of Journal of American Culture. His publications include An American Dreamer: A Psychoanalytic Study of the Fiction of Norman Mailer, Empire of Dreams: The Science Fiction and Fantasy Films of Steven Spielberg, and, with Hernan Vera, Screen Saviors: Hollywood Fictions of Whiteness.

With Peter L. Rudnytsky, he edited Psychoanalyses/Feminisms.
