Andrew Hewish

Andrew Hewish is Senior Lecturer and Co-ordinator of Critical and Contextual Studies in Art and Photography at the CASS, London Metropolitan University, where he received the METSU award for Outstanding Lecturer. He founded in 2004 the Centre for Recent Drawing (C4RD) in London, and remains the charity’s Executive Director. He holds a BA (Hons) and MIntS (USyd), MFA (COFA/UNSW), MRes (London Consortium) and is currently completing his Ph.D. at the RCA. Fellow of the Royal Society of Arts (FRSA), he convened the Line Forum at the RCA and Frenzy! at the ICA, curated the public engagement programme at the Warburg Institute, sat as as part of the international jury of FID and guest-edited a volume of the Journal of Visual Art Practice, is co-editor of TRACEY, and has given the keynote address at the Drawing Research Network annual conference.
