Andrew Plowman
Dr Andrew Plowman is senior lecturer in German at the University of Liverpool. He specializes in recent and contemporary German literature and film, and his current research concentrates on the representation of the Bundeswehr, the armed forces of the Federal Republic of Germany, in German culture as well as on contemporary German writing more widely. His publications include the co-edited volumes German Writers and the Politics of Culture: Dealing with Stasi (Palgrave, 2003) and Divided, But Not Disconnected (Berghahn Books, 2010). Together with Lyn Marven and Kate Roy, he is currently editing a volume of essays on the short story in German in the twenty-first century (Camden House).
