Andrew Wiskowski
Dr Andrew Wiskowski is an independent lecturer, researcher and artist. He works and teaches in the United Kingdom, United States and Europe, creating performance and visual art, often featuring and exploring post-dramatic interpretation of ancient Greek tragedy, new performance forms and content concerned with collectivity and de/individuality. He was recently a senior lecturer of performance and photography at Southbank Colleges (London South Bank University [LSBU]) and has been an associate lecturer at Canterbury Christchurch University, London Metropolitan University and LSBU; he gained his Ph.D. at Queen Mary, University of London, his MA degree at Royal Central School of Speech and Drama and his BA degree at Butler University. His research focuses on collectivity, aesthetics, affect theory and atmosphere studies, applying a novel concept of aesthetic collectives to phenomena of collectivity in performance, theatrical and artistic contexts, as formed and detailed in his monograph Aesthetic Collectives; On the Nature of Collectivity in Cultural Performance (Routledge, 2022).
