Angela Longo
Angela Longo is a Ph.D. candidate at the Graduate School of Global Arts, Department of Arts Studies and Curatorial Practices at Tokyo University of the Arts, with funding from the Japan Ministry of Education, Culture, Sport, Science and Technology (MEXT). Her research interests are the aesthetic and technical interconnections of animation and tokusatsu in Japanese media. She is a member of the Society for Animation Studies (SAS) and the 日本アニメーション学会 (Japan Society for Animation Studies – JSAS). She earned her master’s degree from Universidade Federal do Rio Grande do Sul (UFRGS) in Brazil. In addition, she has a bachelor’s degree in visual arts from UFRGS and in artistic studies from the University of Coimbra, Portugal, with funding from the Ministry of Education of Brazil.
