Aníbal Gauna
Aníbal Gauna is a Venezuelan sociologist based in Lima, Peru. He holds a Ph.D. in sociology (State University of New York at Albany). He was granted a Fulbright Scholarship in 2008 to pursue doctoral studies in the United States. He is interested in cultural sociology, historical-comparative sociology, sociological theory and Latin America. Some of his articles have been published in the American Journal of Cultural Sociology; Journal of Politics in Latin America; Poetics: Journal of Empirical Research on Culture, the Media, and the Arts; Revista Latinoamericana de Estudios Avanzados (RELEA); Thesis Eleven: Critical Theory and Historical Sociology, among others.
