Anna Kemp

Anna Kemp is a senior lecturer in French at Queen Mary University of London, UK. Her research interests include French and francophone women’s writing and the autobiographical work of the French experimental writing collective the OuLiPo. Her articles have appeared in French Studies, Nottingham French Studies, Modern and Contemporary France, Contemporary French Civilization and French Forum. She is the author of Voices and Veils: Feminism and Islam in French Women’s Writing and Activism (Oxford: Legenda, 2010) – one of four books nominated for the R. H. Gapper Book Prize in 2011. She is currently completing a book manuscript entitled Oulipography: Life as Creative Constraint with the generous support of the Leverhulme Trust.
