Anna Neuwirthová

Anna Neuwirthová, Czech, holds a Ph.D. in music and works as a self-employed music therapist, special music educator, and music community coach. Clinically she works as a freelancer at the children’s centre of the Thomayer University Hospital in Prague. Being a musician she specializes in overtone singing and Moravian folk music. In music therapy she focuses on children with genetic and behavioural disorders such as the Williams syndrome, Autism Spectrum Disorders, and Attention Deficit and Hyperactivity Disorders. She works both in traditional and community-based settings and is one of the protagonists of Czech community music therapy. She is member of the board of the Muzikoterapeutická asociace České republiky CZMTA, i.e. the Czech Association for Music Therapy and is the Czech representative in the World Federation of Music Therapy.
