Anne Mette Thorhauge

Anne Mette Thorhauge is an assistant professor in Communication and IT at the University of Copenhagen’s Department of Media, Cognition and Communication. She is also a member of the Danish Media Council for Children and Young People with a special expertise in video games and, as part of this work, she is a member of the Council of the Pan-European Game Information (PEGI) undertaking age classifications of video games in Europe. Her background is in media and communication studies and in her research she focuses on gameplay as the product of the players’ communication and interaction in the game rather than the programmed system. In her current research project she is developing concepts and tools for the analysis of user data with the purpose of measuring player activities and informing game design.
