Antonia Plerou
Antonia Plerou, Ph.D., is currently teaching the M.Sc. programme, ‘bioinformatics and neuroinformatics, in the Department of Informatics at Ionian University, and also advises a postgraduate thesis in the same program. She is a member of the Laboratory of Bioinformatics and Human Electrophysiology (BiheLab) at Ionian University, advising on pattern recognition analysis for neuroeducational studies. She holds a Ph.D. from the Department of Informatics at the same university, studied applied mathematics in the Faculty of Sciences at the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki and obtained her Master’s degree in mathematics from the Faculty of Sciences and Technology at the Greek Open University. She has authored or coauthored more than 25 articles with international conferences and journals, as well as two book chapters. She is an editorial board member for several journals and has been a program committee in numerous international conferences. Her research focuses on the fields of educational neuroscience, cognitive science and learning difficulties (dyscalculia, algorithmic thinking difficulties), neurofeedback training, neuronal disorder rehabilitation with neuroinformatics and artificial intelligence.
