Antoon De Rycker

Antoon De Rycker, Ph.D., currently employed at UCSI University, Malaysia, has been conducting research into the nexus of discourse, communication and news media in the Asia-Pacific region for the past ten years. He is interested in societal issues such as crisis, ‘fake news’, sustainable development and international disputes, focusing on the dominant discursive representations of these phenomena as social practices. One of his pioneering achievements in this respect is Discourse and Crisis (2013), published by John Benjamins.
