Arabella Teniswood-Harvey

Arabella Teniswood-Harvey is a classical pianist, art historian and academic, with interests and expertise in music and visual culture, music and identity, new modes of performance and artistic research. She is Head of Discipline (Music) at the University of Tasmania. Her Ph.D (2006) explored the musical interests of the artist James McNeill Whistler. Her published output includes six critically acclaimed recorded albums on the Australian label, Move Records, as well as scholarly articles and book chapters. She is co-editor of Belonging, Detachment and the Representation of Musical Identities in Visual Culture (Hollitzer, 2023), and a member of the Council of Association Répertoire International d’Iconographie Musicale (RIdIM).
