Ari Purnama
Ari Purnama is an assistant professor of cinema studies at the University of Oregon. His research interests include film style, cinematography, production design/art direction, south-east Asian cinemas, East and West African cinemas, DIY filmmaking, theory-practice symbiosis in audio-visual media and the contributions of below-the-line creative artists to film art, such as cinematographers, production designers, sound designers, etc. He is passionate about diversity and inclusion in the screen industries as a research subject and praxis.
