Arshad Amanullah

Arshad Amanullah is a Ph.D. researcher in the South Asian studies programme at the National University of Singapore. His research interests lie at the intersection of media, language and religion in the South Asian region. In his Ph.D. project, which takes a comparative media approach, he focuses on the mediatization of Muslim discourses in different Indian-language media. Arshad has also been associated with the Centre for Culture, Media and Governance, New Delhi, where he researched dynamics of digitalization of television distribution in India. He has an MA in mass communications (2005) from Jamia Millia Islamia.
