August U. Schaller’s entrance into cinema was through his father, who would make video mixtapes filled with music videos, experimental animations, and homemade recordings. To further his study of the medium, August enrolled at the University of North Carolina Wilmington, where he majored in Film Studies and earned a Bachelor’s degree in Art.
