Austra Avotiņa
Dr Austra Avotiņa is an associate professor in the Faculty of Education, Psychology and Art at the University of Latvia. She is a researcher in art education, the author of monographs, books and articles, participated in international projects as an expert (e.g. ‘Development of Visual Art Teachers’ Professional and Pedagogical Competence’ (ESFP); ‘Implementing Competency-based Curriculum Project in Latvia’ (Skola2030) and represented the interests of the University of Latvia at the European Network of Observatories in the field of arts and cultural education.
