Avery Holton
Avery E. Holton is an associate professor and vice president’s clinical and translational research scholar in the Department of Communication at the University of Utah. He served as a 2018 National Humanities Center fellow and was named a 2019 Digital Media Research Fellow with Oslo Metropolitan University for his work on journalism, journalistic identity and artificial intelligence in news rooms. Dr. Holton’s research has appeared in more than 65 peer-reviewed studies in publications such as Communication Theory, Mass Communication & Society, Journalism Studies and Health Communication, among others.
