Avital Furlager

Avital Furlager (MA, BC-DMT) is a dance/movement therapist and psychotherapist. She teaches at the University of Haifa and Wingate Institute in the field of dance/movement therapy. She began her work with refugees as a mental health clinician at the International FACES refugee clinic in Chicago, IL. With IsraAID she has created and supported implementation of psychosocial programming in refugee camps in Kenya and now in Greece as the advisor for psychosocial programmes in the current refugee crisis. Mindfulness, embodiment, authenticity and creative expression are friends, partners, and inroads to healing in her approach to well-being.
