Babette Radclyffe-Thomas
Babette is a fashion journalist, consultant and academic who specializes in the Chinese fashion and beauty industries. Babette is an award-winning journalist who has worked at some of the most influential fashion and style publications in Asia and Europe including Vogue China, Prestige and Design Anthology. She was the editor of S Style Magazine, which is published by Macau’s Sands Casino, and wrote fashion and beauty columns at China Daily. Babette speaks, reads and writes Mandarin Chinese. Babette obtained a master’s degree in fashion journalism from the London College of Fashion in 2013 and won the Harper’s Bazaar Art Plus Fashion Journalism Prize the same year. She is an award-winning fashion academic, currently a Ph.D. candidate at the London College of Fashion writing her dissertation on fashion, gender and identity in China and presents her academic research at conferences worldwide and guest lectures at universities around the globe. Babette is a brand consultant and strategist working with a wide array of clients internationally, specifically advising on the Chinese fashion industry. She is also a menswear and womenswear stylist.
