Bartolomeo Sapio

With a Doctor Laurea Degree in electronic engineering, summa cum laude, from the University of Rome La Sapienza, Bartolomeo Sapio is a senior researcher and project manager at Fondazione Ugo Bordoni (FUB). He is the author of more than 150 scientific publications. In FUB he works in the International Project Office and is responsible for the Research Line ‘Information Society and User Aspects’. He has carried out methodological research in the field of scenario analysis, developing the original methods WISE, SEARCH and GIMMICKS. He designed and implemented Scenarioengineering Interactive Multimedia LABoratory (SIMULAB), an advanced work environment to carry out research activities in the field of Scenario Engineering. He conceived and developed KidLab Media Research, a lab methodology to systemically approach the study of ICT diffusion and usage scenarios for young generations. He was Chairman of COoperation in the field of Scientific and Technical research (COST) Action 298 ‘Participation in the Broadband Society’, and a member in the Management Committees of COST Action IS0605 ‘A Telecommunications Economics COST Network – Econ@Tel’ and COST Action A22 ‘Foresight methodologies – Exploring new ways to explore the future’, where he chaired the Working Group ‘Integrating Narratives and Numbers’. He participated in two European ICT projects in the Seventh Framework Programme: Certification infrastrUcture for MUlti-Layer cloUd Services (CUMULUS) (with the role of Project Coordinator) and EasyReach.
