Bénédicte Meillon

Bénédicte Meillon is associate professor at the University of Perpignan. She is a member of the CRESEM in Perpignan, and co-directs a research workshop on ecopoetics and ecocriticism. She has published articles on Barbara Kingsolver’s work; Roald Dahl’s short stories; and works by Paul Auster, Annie Proulx and Linda Hogan. She specializes in the short story genre and North American literature, with a strong interest in ecopoetics, magical realism, postcolonial literature, the postmodernist rewriting of myths, folk and fairy tales, the representation of minorities, non-human nature, and rurality.
