Benjamin Matthews
Dr Benjamin Matthews is a lecturer in the School of Humanities, Creative Industries and Social Sciences at the University of Newcastle, with an interest in design, spatial media, the post-industrial circumstances of media work, emergent network cultures and media art. His scholarly approach is transdisciplinary, and includes collaboration with STEMM-based researchers with the goal of addressing problems with tangible end-users and translational outcomes. His interests include organized networks, media work, communication design, celebrity, collaborative cultures, urban/street cultures, visual culture, emergence and synthetic biology.
