Bertalan Pusztai
Bertalan Pusztai (1972) has an MA in history and ethnography from the University of Debrecen, Hungary. He completed and defended his Ph.D. thesis on contemporary religious tourism and late modernity (published in 2004) at the University of Jyväskylä (Finland) with the ethnologist Professor Bo Lönnqvist. He has been at the University of Szeged since 1997, and is an associate professor in the Department of Communication and Media Studies. His main interests are religious and national identity in Central Europe, anthropological and cultural analyses of tourism, intercultural and social communication and methodology and theory in contemporary cultural research.
