Beverley Irving-Edwards

Beverley Irving-Edwards, an illustrator from Liverpool, is currently completing her practice-based Ph.D. at Ulster University, Belfast. Her research, which is distinct in its focus on lived experience, object illustration and socially engaged practice, is funded by a research studentship from the Department for the Economy, Northern Ireland (DfE) (2020–23). The Mary Ann McCracken Foundation awarded her a bursary in 2021, funding her Clay Therapy training. Her work has been showcased nationally and internationally, and she has worked with vulnerable communities in Manchester and Belfast. She has also worked with M.Sc. Art Therapy and BA Illustration students at Ulster University, introducing them to object-related approaches and providing dissertation support, including supporting neurodivergent students and students designing neurodivergent-affirming practices.
