Bilge Şenyüz

Bilge Şenyüz is an academic in the field of journalism. She received both her Ph.D. and MA degrees in journalism from Ankara University in Turkey. She also finished her second master’s programme at Middle East Technical University, Science and Technology Policy Studies. She has worked in the United States as a postdoctoral researcher (from March 2017 to March 2018) and also as an associate professor at Ankara Haci Bayram Veli University, Faculty of Communication, Department of Journalism in Turkey. Currently, she is associate professor in the Faculty of Communication at Marmara University. Her current research interests include new media studies, algorithmic (robot) journalism, online journalism, coding for journalists, data visualization, media ethics and gender. She also has an interest in coding and mind-mapping, and it is her passion to spread these skills – she organizes workshops for journalists and also collaborates with numerous NGOs to teach coding skills to girls.
