Boaz Levin
Boaz Levin is writer, curator and art historian based in Berlin, Germany. In 2017, he was co-curator of the Biennale für Aktuelle Fotografie, which is staged at exhibition venues in Heidelberg, Mannheim and Ludwigshafen. In 2021, he co-curated the 3rd Chennai Photo Biennale. He is the curator, together with Esther Ruelfs, of Mining Photography: The Ecological Footprint of Image Production (MK&G, Hamburg, KunstHausWien and Gewerbemuseum Winterthur). He is the co-curator of Image Ecology an exhibition at C/O Berlin, which opened in September 2023. Levin is the author of On Distance, ed. Laura Preston (Berlin: Atlas Projectos, 2020) and is editor of Cabinet Magazine’s Kiosk platform. He is a Ph.D. candidate at the University of Leuphana, Lüneburg, where he is writing a history of The San Diego Group.
