Bonnie McConnell
Dr Bonnie McConnell is a lecturer at the Australian National University. She received her Ph.D. in ethnomusicology from the University of Washington, Seattle. Bonnie has been involved in collaborative research and performance projects in The Gambia since 2006. Her research interests include music, gender and health; music and emotion; and music of Africa and the African diaspora. She is the author of the forthcoming book, Music, Health, and Power: Singing the Unsayable in the Gambia.
