Brandon Bouchillon

Brandon Bouchillon holds a Ph.D. in media and communication from Texas Tech University. He is an associate professor of journalism at the University of Arkansas. His research considers the role of technology in becoming competent socially, for promoting social-capital outcomes such as trusting. He also looks at the potential for networked social support to facilitate reductions in prejudice and loneliness. He is author of the book Competence, Presence, Trust, and Hyperpersonal-ness: Dissolving the Boundary between Digital and Physical Life (Lexington Books, 2022).
