Brenda Mondragón Toledo
Brenda Mondragón Toledo is a doctoral student in sociology at University College Cork (UCC). She completed her master’s in sociology of development and globalization at UCC with the dissertation ‘“Collective intellectual property” as a response to cultural appropriation of Mayan textiles in Guatemala: An analysis of its problematization in Draft Law 5247’. Her research interests lie in the sociocultural study of textiles and fashion among different contexts. Specifically, her research lies in analysing the social impact of textiles in everyday life, consumption, fashion, political resistance and collective memory.
