Brian Doherty
Dr Brian Doherty is a music educator, music researcher and a professional musician. He teaches at two public schools in Yonkers, NY, while remaining active in the professional community. As a drummer, Brian has worked on the Broadway productions of Rent, Hairspray and Waitress. He has also performed and recorded with many artists including Ben Folds, Freedy Johnston, Frank Black and XTC. Before entering the world of education, Brian was the drummer in the band They Might Be Giants. He intends to continue his work in both educational research and music performance.
