Brian L. Mclaren
Brian L. McLaren, Ph.D., is an associate professor in the Department of Architecture at the University of Washington. His scholarship has concentrated on the tension between architecture and politics in Italy during the Fascist ventennio, with recent attention to the intersection of modern architecture, empire, and racial politics. He is currently working on a book-length research project that examines the conflicted nature of mobility in Italian Africa, which greatly expands upon his earlier research on architecture and tourism in Libya.
