Brian Zager

Brian Zager is an independent scholar whose research focuses on the horror of existence as it appears in various rhetorical and cultural permutations. Primarily through the use of popular culture texts, he examines weird phenomena at the intersection of language, horror and philosophies that embrace the worst-case scenario. His previous work on such topics has appeared in Empedocles: European Journal for the Philosophy of Communication, Horror Studies and Interactions: Studies in Communication and Culture. A resident of the Greater Boston area, he teaches a variety of courses in the communication field.
