Bridget Cauthery is a dance and cultural studies scholar focusing on the impacts of post/neo-coloniality and the processes of globalization on contemporary and popular dance practices in the Global North. She is currently engaged in a three-year Social Sciences and Humanities Research Council (SSHRC) Insight-funded research project to recover an Indigenous ballet, In the Land of the Spirits that premiered in Ottawa in 1988 and is eagerly anticipating the publication of her first monograph, Choreographing the North: Settler affinities in contemporary dancemaking (McGill-Queens University Press).
